The audio launch of Ko was a grand affair and was
held at the Image auditorium, Chennai on Jan 19, 2011.
It was earlier announced that the launch will be a
different affair compared to the regular launch events.
It was indeed different with a brilliant laser show
and a mime which focused on 'A day in the life of
the cameraman". It was quite interesting to watch
and must have reminded KV Anand of his early days
as a photo journalist before entering the film industry.
The hosts of the evening were Jagan and DD who ensured
that the auditorium remained noisy with applause and
laughter. KV Anand, Jiiva, Karthika, Piaa, Ajmal,
Harris Jayaraj, Richard Nathan, editor Antony, choreographers
Brinda and Dinesh, stunt master Peter Hein, producers
Kumar Jayaraman, James and Udhayanidhi Stalin were
present at the function. The guest list also included
director Priyadarshan and Karthika's mother Radha.
KV Anand was all praises for his photo journalist
friends and even invited them on stage to release
the audio which was received by Priyadarshan and the
crew members of Ko. Interestingly, a tabloid was given
to all the guests present that had all the latest
updates about the movie.
Two songs and the trailer were shown to the people
present inside the auditorium. Needless to say that
both were catchy numbers and the trailer was indeed
a treat to watch. While Karthika performed to the
'Ennamo Yedho' song, Piaa, in a white blouse and black
trousers, enchanted the audience with her bubbly performance
for the song 'Gala Gala'.
The speeches given the guests were as short as the
title itself. No one made an effort to speak for long.
Even director KV Anand was typical and said only 'Nandri'
when he was called to deliver the vote of thanks.
