you looking for some fun in the Bay Area this spring?
Then the Galaata Premier League (GPL)
has just the events for you.
The volunteers of Udavum Karangal, Swaram and Visweta
have brought together the events of GPL to provide you
with great entertainment. The programs include dance,
drama, music, tamil songs and standup comedy spiced
with the unforgettable Madras humor. The proceeds from
the events will help support the children at Udavum
Karangal.
Udavum Karangal (Helping Hands) is
a registered, non governmental, non religious and non
profit social service organization, established since
1983. Its objective is to serve orphans and destitute’s
who are in distress. The center provides individual
care, rehabilitation, education, medical treatment and
service.
Swaram is a team comprising of regular Bay
Area engineers, IT professionals, doctors, project managers,
and teachers. The team’s passion for performing
arts and its undeniable artistic talent have brought
out great performances. Swaram works with non-profit
organizations to raise awareness and funds for causes
based in India.
Visweta is a south Indian dance troupe
established in, East bay, CA. Visweta academy of arts
is a one of a kind, dance group that encourages and
motivates everyone who has a passion for dance. Visweta
brings together young enthusiastic, passionate dancers
and creates a platform to show case their talents in
an annual production. All proceeds from their 2011 performance
will be donated to Udavum Karangal.
So come along and share in the fun and find out how
you can help support the cause.
The goal of GPL is to sponsor the education of 500 children
of Udavum Karangal for 1 year.

1. Educate one child for one year ($125)
2. Contribute any amount you are comfortable with
3. Attend GPL events in April/May 2011
4. Contribute your ticket money to help support the
cause, even if you are unable to attend the GPL events
