Following Azhagar Saamiyin Kudirai audio launch, a press meet was organized which witnessed music director Ilayaraja sharing some of his thoughts with the media. Recalling about the applause that hero Appukutty received on the previous day, he said that even Rajnikanth did not get such a response. Raja was also quick to point out that this does not mean that Appukutty is better than Rajni as the former cannot do what the latter can do but at the same time Rajni cannot do the roles of Appukutty.

He stated that the title music of ASK should be listened in a serene atmosphere without the disturbance of cellphones or any such interruption and when listened in such a manner would lead to incessant flow of tears from eyes. “The music of ASK is unique which has emanated from the soul and you cannot budget it”, he added. On the trend of Tamil film industry, Raja opined that Indian cinema is keenly watching Tamil films and it is heartening to watch many directors coming together at the audio launch function. Raja also was confident that ASK will be much talked about film.
