The Tamil audio of actor Siddharth’s bilingual
(Telugu and Tamil) ‘180’ was launched
at the Satyam Cinemas today (14th April). The launch
was well attended and the guests were an assortment
of young actors and experienced film personalities.
The best part about the launch was to see the entire
team wear white and it seemed to emphasize on the
fact that this movie is a result of great team work.
The music has been composed by Sharreth, a household
name in Kerala who has several awards to his credit.
The function opened with Sharreth and his singers
performing a few songs live to the people present.
The song ‘Rules Kadaiyathu’ was unique
and something about the song catches the listener
breathless.
Director Jayendra said that he is very happy with
the tunes Sharreth has given and that it enhances
the visual appeal and the movie’s appeal as
a whole. He added that Siddharth, Priya Anand and
Nithya Menen have performed well. Music Director
Sharreth spoke next and his speech was very light-hearted,
genuine and invoked applause. He said that he was
shocked when Jayendra told that he will have to
compose music for his feature film and that so long
he was composing only for Jayendra’s ad films.
The musician also praised the director for giving
music a lot of scope in this film.
Actor Siddharth, looking suave in a crisp white
shirt, thanked his mother and father for being there
and supporting him. He also said that he is very
happy to have worked in this film and that it has
been a great learning experience for him.
India’s most admired and revered director,
Mani Ratnam launched the audio. He wished Jayendra
all the very best for the film’s success and
also affirmed that he has known Jayendra for long
and that he is very talented.
Along with Mani Ratnam, the audio was unveiled by
producer RB Choudary, PC Sreeram, actor Arya and
‘Jeyam’ Ravi along with several others.
Nithya Menen and Priya Anand looked resplendent
in white and were equally lovely in the stills of
the movie.
Two songs ‘Rules Kidayaathu’ and ‘Nee
Korinaal’ were screened. The director has
made a very creative move of conceptualizing both
these songs. This has helped in giving immense scope
for music, lyrics, choreography and picturisation.
The ‘Rules Kidyaathu’ song choreographed
by Dinesh was shot in Phantom Flex camera that can
shoot up to 2500 frames per second. This slow motion
song shows power and potential of each moment and
it was a visual treat.
The trailer looked interesting and seemed to have
a mischievous plot of a boy romancing two girls.
The film is jointly produced by Satyam Cinemas and
Aghal films. Directed by Jayendra, it has writer
Subha and Jayendra for the screenplay writing.
