In an interesting turn of events, US President Donald Trump has asserted that his administration will not label China as a currency manipulator. This comes after his meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping on Wednesday. Notably, Trump had earlier promised to label China as a currency manipulator on his first day at the office. Further, Trump had also accused China of suppressing the yuan to make its exports more competitive with US goods and likened this to raping his country.
