British mobile phone giant Vodafone has reportedly said that it is in talks with Aditya Birla Group to merge its Indian unit with Idea Cellular to create India’s largest telecom company. Vodafone said any merger would involve Ideaissuing new shares to Vodafone and would result in Vodafone de-consolidating Vodafone India.
