International working president of Vishwa Hindu Parishad Pravin Togadia reportedly demanded a national level law to ban cow slaughter. He reportedly said, “The incidents are the outcome of the government’s failure to enact a law against cow slaughter being done illegally,” said Togadia, referring to recent incidents involving cow vigilantes.
