Vallur power station cuts off power to TANGEDCO

The Vallur power station in North Chennai on Wednesday reportedly stopped the power supply to the Tamil Nadu power distribution company, Tangedco. According to reports, the Vallur power plant was sending 1,000 MW to Tangedco. The power was reportedly cut off because of the non-payment of dues. According to National Thermal Power Corporation, Tangedco has outstanding dues of ₹1,156 crore. Notably, the cut down in supply comes in the busy summer season.
