The US government on Tuesday reportedly announced that it had blacklisted 271 Syrian chemists. According to reports, US blacklisted the chemists for their alleged role in the chemical weapons attack on a rebel-held town in early April. The sanctions will freeze all assets of the 271 individuals in the United States. It also blocks any American citizen from doing any business with them. Notably, the chemical attack left 87 dead, including many children.
