UP anti-Romeo squad detains cousins, demands Rs 5,000 bribe

Two policemen of the anti-Romeo squad in Uttar Pradesh on Sunday reportedly detained two cousins and allegedly demanded a bribe of Rs 5,000 to release them. Reportedly, a youth and his uncle's daughter, both aged about 18, were returning home after purchasing medicines from their native Hashmat Ganj village when they were detained. The policemen have been suspended, say reports.
