Former England Test captain Alastair Cook has reportedly admitted that teammate Kevin Pietersen’s forced exile from the England team could have been handled better. Cook said, "Every person thought it was my decision. I felt I bore the brunt of that, unfairly in my opinion." Notably, Cook had faced severe backlash and criticism after Pietersen's sacking from the English squad following their 5-0 loss in the Ashes in 2014.
