Stating that the melting icebergs would have a cumulative impact bringing more rain and greenery, a UAE firm plans to bring icebergs to UAE's coastline as a new source of freshwater in the region. The firm said icebergs would be towed from Heard Island, 1000 km north of mainland Antarctica, and brought to Fujairah, one of UAE's seven emirates.
