After the Supreme Court banned the sale and registration of BS-III category vehicles from April 1, the two-wheeler industry have reportedly incurred a loss of Rs 600 crore. The loss was due to the three-day discount offered to customers, a report said. Original Equipment Makers are likely to bear the major chunk of the loss. The step to ban was taken due to concerns on vehicular emission.
