Turritopsis dohrnii, a rare species of jellyfish, can age both normally and backward, making it theoretically immortal. The jellyfish reportedly transforms its existing cells into a younger state in case of physical damage or starvation. Capable of reversing the aging process, the species is believed to be the only immortal creature in the world and is found in the Mediterranean Sea and in the waters of Japan.
