Toilets install cameras to stop toilet paper theft

Following rampant toilet paper theft, Chinese capital Beijing have reportedly started using facial recognition technologies in public toilets. Reportedly, a user must stand in front of a wall-mounted machine with a high definition camera to get tissue paper. The device refuses to activate the automatic roller if the same person reappears within a certain period. Many residents have been taking reams of paper from public toilets for use at home. Sometimes a newly replenished roll can disappear within a minute.
