The Tamil Nadu government entered into an agreement with Bharat Broadband Network Ltd for implementing the centre's rural internet connectivity programme,'BharatNet'. A sum of Rs.50 lakh has been allotted as the state's share capital for this purpose and work for registering. Notably, the programme will help connect every household in Tamil Nadu.
