According to reports, Lord Venkateswara temple in Tirupati on Monday received cash offerings of over Rs 4.75 crore in new notes, the highest single day collection since the demonetisation decision was announced. Among Monday's offerings, around Rs 1 crore was found in a single bag along with other precious offerings. Notably, the temple's record for the highest single day offering is Rs 5.73 crore.
