Pavegen, a London-based startup, has reportedly made floor tiles that generate electricity by harnessing kinetic energy from footsteps. Reportedly, every footstep can power about 20 seconds of light on a LED fitment. Moreover, the startup provides data like heat mapping and step counting. Pavegen powers South Korean vehicle manufacturer Kia's factories and football pitches in Nigeria, the startup reportedly claims.
