Citing challenging times for the telecom industry, Tata Teleservices has fired between 500 and 600 employees. The lay offs in sales and other related functions affected as many as 500-600 employees, sources familiar with the matter reportely said. They also reportedly said the severence package of one month’s salary for every year of service will be offered to the employees impacted by the decision is one month’s salary for every year of service across locations.
