Sunil Narine sets new IPL record

West Indies and Kolkata Knight Riders bowler Sunil Narine, who has seen new-found success as an opening batsman, broke the record for highest IPL score made only via fours and sixes. Narine scored 42 off 17 balls against Gujarat Lions on Friday, a knock which included nine fours and a six. Notably, the previous best was 36 by Mumbai’s Sanath Jayasuriya, who had hit 6 fours and 2 sixes in the 2008 season.
