Steve Smith can surpass Tendulkar, Ponting: Brad Hodge

Retired Australian batsman, Brad Hodge on Monday, said that Australian skipper Steve Smith could surpass legendary Indian batsman Sachin Tendulkar regarding century count. “Forty or 50 is not out of reach. I don’t reckon. He’s a superstar. I think he’ll go on to close down the likes of Sachin Tendulkar, Ricky Ponting,” said Hodge. Notably, 27-year-old Smith has 20 Test centuries to his name in as many as 53 Test matches.
