The 41st battalion of Sashatra Seema Bal on Wednesday reportedly detained a person for trying to smuggle a metallic statue of a Hindu deity along the Indo-Nepal border in Bengal. According to reports, the idol weighed-in at 24.07 kilograms and was valued at Rs .45 crore. Notably, the statue was made of ‘Ashtadhatu,' an alloy made of eight metals.
