Senior Congress leader Shashi Tharoor on Friday was reportedly arrested this afternoon and released soon after for heading a protest in front of the RBI office in Thiruvananthapuram. The police said that Tharoor, along with 500 party workers staged a protest against PM Modi’s demonetisation move, causing a major roadblock and traffic jams.
