Following several protests all over Tamil Nadu over revoking the ban on Jallikattu, section 144 has been imposed in various parts of Madurai. According to reports, the section has been put in place in Alanganallur, Avaniyapuram and Palamedu areas of Madurai. Notably, a group had conducted Jallikattu in a village near Madurai, on Friday.
