The Supreme Court on Monday reportedly absolved late Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa and former Minister Azhagu Thirunavukkarasu of the three lakh US dollars gift case. According to reports, Jayalalithaa, during her first tenure as CM in 1992, was accused along with Sengottaiyan and Thirunavukkarasu by the CBI for allegedly accepting 89 Demand Drafts worth around Rs. 2 crore drawn from various banks in favour of her.
