According to an RTI activist Narasimha Murthy, the Bengaluru jail is reportedly violating its rules for Sasikala Natarajan, who is serving a four-year term in a disproportionate assets case. The activist also alleged that as many as 19 visitors had met Sasikala in 31 days, including senior AIADMK leaders, Lok Sabha deputy speaker Thambidurai and nephew TTV Dhinakaran, who reportedly met her twice. Further, Murthy also stated that Sasikala was receiving VIP treatment despite the court turning down her request for better facilities.
