Communist Party of India-Marxist leader Prakash Karat has reportedly said that Sasikala continuing as the general secretary after being convicted by the Supreme Court is against social norms. According to reports, Karat, at a meeting in Madurai, also added that State’s hike in VAT is a direct attack on the poor people.
