The Income Tax department reportedly seized Rs 24 crore in new Rs 2,000 notes from a car in Vellore. ANI reported that the notes were contained in 12 boxes with Rs 2 crore each. For the last two days, the tax sleuths had discovered Rs 142 crore undisclosed assets, including Rs 10 crores in new notes and 127 kilos of gold during raids at different locations in Chennai.
