A 'Ring of Fire' eclipse was observed late on Sunday in some areas of the Earth's Southern Hemisphere including South West Africa and southern South America as the Moon passed in front of the Sun. The event, which occurred when the Earth, Moon and Sun line up, witnessed the Moon completely blocked out the Sun, creating an impression of a fire ring.
