The Central government on Tuesday informed the Supreme Court that respect for the National Anthem and the National Flag was non-negotiable. Further, it added that it was unfortunate that someone had to approach the court for ensuring due respect to the National Flag and the National Anthem. However, the centre asserted that most the unfortunate thing is that some sections oppose it.
