RCom shareholders approve merger with Aircel

Shareholders of Indian telecommunications company Reliance Communications have reportedly approved the merger of the wireless division of RCom with Aircel. According to reports, the Anil Ambani-owned company had earlier announced that it would merge with Airtel and hold 50 per cent stake each. Notably, Vodafone India and Idea had recently merged to become India’s top telecom entity.
