Indian spinner Ravindra Jadeja joined with Ravichandran Ashwin at the top of the ICC Test rankings for bowlers on Wednesday to become the first set of spinners to jointly hold the top spot. Both Ashwin and Jadeja are jointly placed at the top with 892 points. This is the first time in almost nine years that two bowlers are sharing the top spot. The last time it happened was in April 2008, with Dale Steyn and Muttiah Muralitharan jointly at the top. Notably, Jadeja took seven wickets in the match including a crucial six for 63 in the first innings to help India secure a 75 run victory.
