Australia lost the number two Test rank and a cash amount of $300,000, after rain washed out the fifth day, causing a draw in the Test match between New Zealand and South Africa.This helped SA to leapfrog Australia into the second spot in ICC Test rankings and win a cash award of $500,000. Australia will be awarded $200,000 for finishing the year at the third place. Notably, India ended the season at the top spot, earning a cash prize of $1million.
