Former Indian cricketer and the current coach of India A, Rahul Dravid will be awarded a honorable doctorate by the Bangalore University for his contribution to the sport. Dravid will be honored with the doctorate during the 52nd annual convocation at the Bangalore University on Friday. Notably Dravid was awarded a doctorate by the Gulbarga University in 2014.
