Pujara, Kohli drop down in ICC Test batsman rankings

Indian batsman Cheteshwar Pujara and Virat Kohli on Thursday slipped down in the latest ICC Test batsman rankings, while Steve Smith retained his top spot. Pujara, who was at his career-best ranking of No.2 has slipped down to fourth, while Virat Kohli has also moved down a place to fifth. With two massive hundreds in the series against South Africa, New Zealand’s Kane Williamson moved to the second spot, while Joe Root climbed to third in the rankings.
