The protesters at Neduvasal village of the Pudukkottai district have reportedly announced that they would continue their protest against the hydrocarbon extraction project until the project is scrapped. According to reports, the protesters, who had been protesting for over 15 days, earlier held a discussion with the Pudukkottai district collector.
