State President of Tamil Nadu Bharatiya Janata Party, Tamilisai Soundarajan was reportedly arrested in Chennai on Wednesday. City Police arrested Tamilisai when she and other members of BJP tried to organise protests, without permission, in Egmore condemning the murder of Hindu Munnani functionary C Sasikumar. Notably, Police have denied permission for protests due to upcoming local body election.
