PM Modi considers us “untouchables”: TN farmers

The Tamil Nadu farmers who are protesting at Jantar Mantar in Delhi for nearly three weeks demanding drought relief fund have said that PM Modi considers them as “untouchables”. They asked why PM is not willing to meet them. Notably, Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi and several other leaders from Tamil Nadu including DMK’s M K Stalin visited the farmers and extended their support. The farmers on Sunday reportedly tonsured half of their head as a sign of protest. They have also announced that they will shave half of their moustache as a sign of protest on Monday.
