According to data released by the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM), passenger vehicle sales in India crossed the three million milestones for the first time in 2016-17. For the fiscal ended March 2017, domestic passenger vehicles (PV) sales were at 30,46,727 units as against 27,89,208 in the previous year with the segment witnessing a growth of 9.23 per cent.
