North Korea has reportedly warned the United States of ‘catastrophic consequences’ over any further provocations after the US sent a Navy battle group to waters off the Korean peninsula. Asserting “North Korea is ready to react to any mode of war desired by the US”, a foreign ministry spokesperson reportedly warned that the country would take the toughest counteraction against the provocateurs to defend itself.
