No beacons for Ministers, Government officials from May 1

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reportedly banned Ministers and officials from using beacons or lal battis on their cars from May 1. According to reports, the decision was taken at a cabinet meeting on Wednesday. Only five people will be allowed to keep the beacon, the President, Prime Minister, Vice President, Chief Justice of India and the Lok Sabha Speaker.
