World number 9 Rafael Nadal defeated Canada’s Milos Raonic on Wednesday to enter the semifinals of the 2017 Australian Open, his first semifinal at a Grand Slam tournament since 2014. The Spaniard defeated Raonic, world number 3, in straight sets 6-4 7-6(9) 6-4 to notch up his 50th win at the Australian Open. Nadal will face Bulgaria’s Grigor Dimitrov on Friday at the Rod Laver Arena.
