Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation will reportedly hire an arborist, a person who grows and manages trees, at Rs 21 lakh per month. According to reports, MMRC’s move comes after it received a lot of complaints against tree felling for the underground metro line, Metro 3. Notably, the compensatory transplantation works are expected to begin after the arborist is employed.
