Mumbai Congress Chief Sanjay Nirupam has reportedly resigned from the post taking responsibility for the party’s defeat in Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) election on Thursday. Shiv Sena was leading on 92, BJP on 77, Congress on 29, MNS on 6, NCP on 7, and others on 14 till 2.30 pm, out of the total 227 BMC wards.
