Akhilesh Khandelwal, a BJP functionary and the chairman of the Hoshangabad municipality of Madhya Pradesh is reportedly planning to introduce a complete meat ban on his municipality. Khandelwal has allegedly received this idea from UP CM Yogi Adityanath. In his Facebook on Sunday Khandelwal wrote: "Should the sale of meat, mutton, and fish be banned in Hoshangabad." According to reports, Khandelwal said that he would wait for a week to "see the reaction" before implementing the ban.
