Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday launched government’s Ude Desh ka Aam Nagrik (UDAN) scheme. The first flight under UDAN scheme flew between Shimla and Delhi, for a ticket price of Rs.2,036. After launching the scheme, Modi said, "I want to see poor people fly". Notably, UDAN scheme gives subsidiaries for flight tickets via Air India
