Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi on Monday claimed that the Modi-led government had waived loans worth Rs 1.40 lakh crore owed by as many as 50 rich people. Further, Gandhi added the Centre has refused to write off Rs 50,000 crore owed by farmers. In comparison, the UPA government had waived off farmers' loans worth over Rs 70,000 crore within 10 days, he asserted.
