Over 1000 people, including DMK working president MK Stalin, were reportedly arrested by the police in Thiruvarur on Tuesday. This comes after Stalin and the entire group of people engaged in a road block protest at a bus stand in Thiruvarur. Notably, in a bid to support the protesting Tamil Nadu farmer in New Delhi, the DMK led opposition has called for a state-wide bandh on April 25.
