Messi scores twice as Barcelona stun Real Madrid at Bernabeu

Defending La Liga Champions FC Barcelona defeated rivals Real Madrid 3-2 at the Santiago Bernabeu on Sunday. Casemiro scored first for the hosts, while Leo Messi equalised for the visitors. Croatia’s Ivan Rakitic scored a screamer for the Catalans to make it 2-1 but was met with an equaliser from Real’s James Rodriguez. With Real’s captain Sergio Ramos sent off and the game heading for a draw, Messi scored the decisive winner for Barcelona in the injury time to take them to the top of La Liga table. However, Real are tied with Barcelona on points with a game in hand.
