Meghalaya legislator Julius Dorphang has reportedly been arrested by police in Guwahati on Saturday over charges of raping a 14-year-old minor girl. Reportedly Dorphang went into hiding after he was booked under various Sections of the IPC and POCSO Act. Notably, he was the founder-chairman of banned insurgent group Hynniewtrep National Liberation Council.
